Terms of Service

Last updated: August 25, 2026

1. What Kitang-kita is

Kitang-kita is a record-keeping tool for businesses in the Philippines that rent out vehicles (or similar assets) to riders on a daily "boundary" payment basis. It helps a business track which units are rented to which riders, log daily payments, flag overdue accounts, and manage basic team access. Kitang-kita is a tool for the business — it does not itself rent out vehicles, collect rent, or act as a party to any rental agreement between a business and a rider.

2. Accounts

An account is created by a business owner ("the Owner"). The Owner may invite Manager and Staff team members, each with their own login and a role that determines what they can see and do within the account. The Owner is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered into the account, and for how their team members use it.

Riders — the people renting vehicles from a Kitang-kita business — do not create their own Kitang-kita account. They interact with the service only through a payment-submission link the Owner or their team provides, which does not require a login.

3. Subscription and billing

4. Riders and data submitted on their behalf

An Owner or their team member is responsible for the accuracy of any rider information (name, contact number, address, and any documents) they add to the account. Riders may submit a payment claim — a photo of a receipt and which day(s) it covers — through a link the business shares with them; this submission is only a claim until the business reviews and approves it. Kitang-kita does not verify the accuracy of any submission on the business's behalf.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Kitang-kita only for legitimate business record-keeping, and not to use it to store or share false, defamatory, or unlawful information about any person, including riders or other businesses. You are responsible for complying with whatever laws apply to your own rental business, separately from your use of this tool.

6. Data and privacy

How information is collected, used, and stored is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Ownership

Kitang-kita retains ownership of the software itself. You retain ownership of the business data you enter into it — your units, riders, and payment records remain yours, and you can export a full copy at any time from within the app.

8. No warranty; limitation of liability

Kitang-kita is provided "as is." While we take reasonable care to keep the service accurate and available, we do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for business losses (such as disputes with a rider, or missed payments) arising from your use of the service. You remain responsible for verifying your own financial records independently of what the app shows.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Kitang-kita and cancel your subscription at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, including the acceptable-use section above.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, let account Owners know.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
